Notice to National Congress of Employers (NCE) Certificate Holders

RE: Group Accident and Sickness Hospital Indemnity Insurance Certificate

 

Dear National Congress of Employers Certificate Holder

Effective April 30, 2024, Unified Life Insurance Company (Unified Life) terminated the Group Accident and Sickness Policy (Group Master Policy) issued to the association National Congress of Employers (NCE) and Healthcare Cost Containment United Association (HCCUA).  Under the terms and conditions of the Group Master Policy, termination of the Group Master Policy triggers the termination of all certificates issued under that policy.

Unified Life, as a courtesy, allowed the coverage to continue as if the Group Master Policy remained in effect until NCE could offer comparable plans with other carriers.

 

Pursuant to the termination provisions in your certificate, the coverage evidenced by the Accident and Sickness certificates will cease on April 30, 2025.  All claims submitted with a date of service before April 30, 2025, will be honored, and processed according to the terms and conditions of the certificate.
